Heat the oil in a small saucepan and add the onion. Fry for a minute then add the chilli and cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuously, until the onion begins to turn golden brown.
Add the spices and fry for a minute more. Add the beans, reduce the heat and cook for 3 minutes. Taste and season with salt if needed.
