A recipe from Nigel Slater.
Wipe the apples and push an apple corer through them. Run a knife around the diameter of the apple, just nicking the skin.
Put the apples in a dish with 2 tbsps water and push a lump of butter into the hollow of each apple.
Bake in a preheated oven 180 c, 165 Fan Gas 4 for about 45 minutes, basting with the cooking juices from time to time. They are ready when the skin has separated into 2 halves.
Drizzle with the honey and return to the oven for 10 minutes. If you like serve with cream....
